FOR P5 - P7 PUPILS
February - March 2022
Performance in school hall
Keen Scottish podcaster and international newshound Jo Jones is always on the lookout for surprising news stories from across the globe. One day a story pops into her newsfeed that takes over her life.
In the small opal mining community of Lightning Ridge, Australia, 300 locals turned up to the funeral of 2 invisible friends…
Jo’s mission is to find out as much as she can about this unbelievable event. Whose invisible friends are they? How did they die? And why would a whole town go to their funeral?
This new one woman theatre show invites the audience to take part in Jo’s live recording, investigating the story of what happened in Lightning Ridge while also investigating the power of the imagination, the strength of community and the importance of believing in something even though it doesn’t exist (yet).
