The Last Forecast
Somewhere, on an island, Gail, a gecko-like creature lives alone, in harmony with the surroundings. Everything matches, everything is perfect.
Unfortunately, Gail is not alone for long. A stranger arrives, laden with earthly belongings and starts setting up home, disturbing this island sanctuary. However, the forecast is for rising water levels and soon there won’t be space for either of them… A new dance theatre show for young audiences. Cost: £500 + VAT per day 2 performances included per day Theatre in Schools Scotland offers a Small School Subsidy on request, to support remote schools or those with a small school roll. Bridie Gane is a choreographer and dance artist based in Edinburgh. She is passionate about making dance work of a high artistic quality that is accessible and engaging to a wide-ranging audience. She tackles complex subject matter with curiosity and playfulness. Her work utilises strong musicality, physicality and humour, spanning live performance for the stage and outdoor locations, dance film and dance works with and for young people. A graduate from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (2012), Bridie spent three years in Berlin, Germany where her solo work ‘BIM BAM BUM’ won the title of ‘The Best German Dance Solo’ at Euro Scene, Leipzig (2013). She is currently an Associate Artist with Catherine Wheels, was previously an Associate Artist with Dance Base and has worked with: Lyra,The Work Room, Imaginate, Merchant City Festival, Catherine Wheels, Dance Base, Scottish Dance Theatre, Buzzcut, Lothian Youth Dance company, Heart of Hawick, City Moves (Aberdeen), The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway Dance, Cinedans (Amsterdam), Gary Clarke, Martin Green, Creative Youth Network (Bristol), Tanzburo Munich, Sophiensaele (Berlin), Lucky Trimmer (Berlin) INFORMATION FOR TEACHERSComing Soon
